AJC: Principal ‘released’ after ‘black people’ graduation comment

http://www.ajc.com/news/news/report-gwinnett-principal-fired-over-racist-gradua/nmGRc/?ecmp=ajc_social_facebook_2014_sfp

The principal of TNT Academy has been let go from the Stone Mountain school less than a week after video of her racially charged comment at a graduation ceremony went viral.

Georgia NAACP president Francys Johnson confirmed to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Nancy Gordeuk “has been released.”

In an email sent to the NAACP, TNT Academy board of directors chair Heidi Anderson wrote the board had moved to dismiss Gordeuk, who previously said “the devil was in the house and came out from my mouth” when she made a controversial remark about black people leaving Friday’s graduation ceremony.

“In light of recent events, the board of directors of TNT Academy has moved to dismiss Nancy Gordeuk as principal,” Anderson said in the email, which the state NAACP sent to The AJC. “During the coming transition, we will continue to prioritize support for our most recent graduates. Moreover, we will continue our commitment to providing students with the best educational classes, transcription services and academic credit recovery possible.”

because she was so utterly clueless as to why saying something bad about 'the black people', especially in a way that suggested you expected 'them' to be the ones leaving early was racist. But I'm sure there are many millions of people who would agree with her.

Its a private school catering to troubled students, so they probably get a large portion of their revenue from tax money.

For example, tuition is mentioned as required the first two weeks of each month, but no amounts are provided--

And the founder of TNT Academy is referred to as just "Nancy"--

A little sketchy, if you ask me

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/son-georgia-educator-behind-racist-rant-defends-article-1.2217330

The son of a Lilburn, Ga. educator, whose racist rant at a graduation ceremony went viral over the weekend, came to her defense — in her own fashion.

“If anyone has something to say about my mom and how she ran her graduation — come say it to my face,” Travis Gordeuk took to Facebook Saturday.

His language mirrored the racial vilification spouted by his mother, Nancy Gordeuk, on Friday, whose words inspired a massive walk-out caught on camera.

Her son, Travis Gordeuk, came to the rescue on Saturday afternoon and offered to address grievances against his mother "face to face."

“Yall n----s aren’t talkin about s--t so if u got somthing (sic) to say come see me face to face,” Gordeuk added.

The feisty son even invited those offended to stop by his Carterville address — sharing his location publically on the social media post.

Sounds like Travis needs to keep his mouth shut before he gets taken to class.

I got scrappy defending my abusive step dad when I was a late teen because it's one thing to mess with me, it's quite another to mess with my dad.

Don't laugh. She may be the Republican V.P. candidate on the Christie ticket. She's from a different region, former educator and able to control crowds. She would certainly get the KKK vote and wouldn't even need to use dog whistle words.

Her presence on the Christie ticket will take attention from Christie's miserable record as N.J. governor.
