Breaking news: Russ Feingold just officially announced he's running again for the United States

Senate

Dear MoveOn member,

Breaking news: Russ Feingold just officially announced he's running again for the United States Senate.

Up until 2011, Russ Feingold was one of the most principled progressives in the U.S. Senate. On issue after issue—from his sole vote against the Patriot Act in 2001, to coming out early and strongly against the Iraq War, to being the leading voice for getting money out of politics—we could always count on Russ Feingold speaking out strongly for progressive values.

We need Russ Feingold back in the Senate working alongside Elizabeth Warren and other progressive champions now more than ever. Let's welcome him into the race by showing that we're ready to fight alongside him again

Gwen Moore said she wouldn't challenge Feingold. Fengold's had Sander's promos on his Progressives United website, and via that website Feingold has said corporations shouldn't have more power in decision making than ordinary people.

My gut feeling is Gwen Moore running would have helped Clinton a lot more than Feingold, who is likely to draw more Sanders types than Moore would have.
