Romney Gets Testy After Questions On Gay Marriage, DREAM and Pot

Romney Gets Testy After Questions On Gay Marriage, DREAM and Pot

Mitt Romney would like to talk about the economy. He would apparently prefer not to talk about marriage equality, education for the children of illegal immigrants or medical marijuana. In an interivew with a CBS affiliate in Colorado, Romney was visibly annoyed after a string of questions that included his stance on gay marriage and civil unions (he’s against them), in-state tuition for the children of illegal immigrants (he’s against that) and medical marijuana (he thinks pot is a “gateway drug”).

“Aren’t there issues of significance you’d like to talk about?” he said, after the string of social issue questions, one of which came from a viewer. “The economy, the growth of jobs, the need to put people back to work, the challenges of Iran? We’ve got enormous issues that we face but you want to talk about medical marijuan–go ahead, you want to talk about Medical–”

“Marijuana should not be legal in this country,” Romney said finally, before calling pot a “gateway drug.”

Where the hell is that: I thought I saw tumbleweed. Was Romney lost? Don't answer that.

That even on the "issues of significance" he comes out on the short end of the stick.
His answers for the economic crisis are proven to not work. We have had too many years of waiting for the trickle down theory to prove itself.

really caused a melt down if her question on the economy was prefaced by: You recently claimed credit for saving the auto industry...

Romney stomps foot and waves fists: Oh, come on. I meant the jobs and this President's un-American...I mean...China, uh, uh...

Instead, let's focus on one he's pretty clear on......giving huge tax breaks for the rich while fucking the middle class.

Umm....ok. Let's do it.

President Obama almost never does that. All of the issues of the day - a Presidential candidate should be able to talk about any of them.

The reporter was asking questions sent in by voters. So Romney just told at least 3 voters their questions were not significant. Is that 3 more for Obama? Way to go Mitt, losing the election one vote at a time.

8. The Republican Party has nothing to offer this nation

They're like broken records touting an ideology that has broken the back of this nation - and they don't care.

If their economic policies worked - our nation would not face the problems it does now - the reality is they don't care about the problems - they care about hoarding for the Scrooge McDucks in this nation, to the exclusion of any other issue.

I WISH this nation could have an honest conversation about the economy and look at the impact of thirty-plus years of reaganomics.

Govt. investment in internet technology created the 90s boom that has continued into this decade - it wasn't because some fat fuck got a tax break - it was b/c our govt. had the foresight to invest in infrastructure via govt. programs in the military - the internet was picked up by PUBLICLY FUNDED academics, for the most part, who moved the use of this technology into the public sphere.

After the groundwork had already been done, private entities stepped in to pick the fruits that were planted by tax-led investments.

So, suck it, Republicans. You have nothing to offer.

we can talk about the need to put the people you fired back to work- no? Fine, then how about how your buddies helped crash that economy and what you're going to do about them- not that either? All right, how about the brave way you stood up to Limbaugh and Nugent and the questions it raises about how you will deal with Ahmadinej- Mr. Romney, where are you going? Mr. Romney? Hello...?

and how that establishes his credentials as a job creator when he was Governor. Mass was nearly dead last under Romney. Oh, but Mitt would say that's another taboo subject. Well, then they could ask him about his Mormonism, right? Offshore bank accounts? How about his tax returns over the last ten years and when he will release them? How self-deportation will work as a real immigration policy? His dog Seamus? Why he didn't condemn Limbaugh for his comments on Sandra Fluke regarding women's access to contraception? Why he didn't ask his gay foreign policy adviser to stay on despite pressure from the right wing? In what State he currently resides and whether he actually lived in his son's basement when he voted in an election in that State? What issues of significance are not off limits with this guy? It must be an extremely short list.
