Screw the 'safety net'....
Just a random thought, the 'safety net' that we talk about needing in our society is a horrible image. It plays into wing-nut talking points about government making it a trap.
We need a floor. A basic simple level floor that we won't allow people to fall below.

1. I like that, the wording is valuable, as would be real change in this area.

4. The thing is, when there is an actual safety net, a net a person falls into for safety, the net
protects you from falling on the floor. If the floor was my friend I would not need a net when I walk the tight rope. The net provides a level we don't let people fall below, if we let them hit the floor they might break their necks.
If you get rid of the net, then you just have the floor. The net was invented to protect from the floor. |

5. But you can't do much in the net except lay there....
walking around, no.
eating, very messy. and let's agree not to talk about using the restroom. Simply put, you can live on a floor, not so with a net. ![]() |
