The Senate will be looking at best way to fund TAA, continuation of displaced worker benefits. The Republicans want offsets for costs, the Democrats will argue against offsets or look for alternative funding.

The Democrats will be arguing that for their support of TPA, TAA should be an unfunded mandate. The Republicans will argue it must be paid for somehow.

The compromise position will show us who wants Trade Promotion Authority the most.

into this mix no matter what happens with TPP! I've never said I would pull out of party before but if they ever agree to this I will.

I just got the same email and am trying to figure out if it's accurate.

Dems better not allow any cuts to Medicare spending, especially not for this.

As it is Republicans who really want this, Dems should use it as leverage to guarantee increased spending on social safety net programs such as Medicare, Social Security, SNAP, Headstart, etc.

If they really want to push it, they should also require changes to the stupidity of the requirements placed upon USPS to fund pensions 75 years ahead of need. That alone will bring USPS back into the black.

has post on it as well as Democracy for America sending email on it. Suppose it could be a fund raising tactic who knows? At this point I wouldn't put anything past anyone. I signed pettition only no bucks.

I tend to think it's true, but I could be wrong The Republicans will use any tactic they can to gut Medicare just hope Dems won't agree for TPP.
