[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Then I canceled it after I read their "Release Statement."

AARP morphed after a few good years into not much more than a big insurance company targeting seniors. I had switched my membership quite some time ago to the Alliance for Retired Americans and this reminds me why I did that.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Cool.

You're certainly right about the benefit of making noise re Social Security and Medicare, but I got really pissed at that required release. Even the tone of the wording was absolutely arrogant. I just couldn't bring myself to agree to it, even knowing that it was highly unlikely to have any bearing on me at all.

Maybe I'll reconsider in the morning... just this once. lol

I was actually thinking about doing that "survey" until I read this. Why the hell would they ask for the right to 'edit' my remarks before using them in an ad or whatever.
