So, at 93, Billy Graham can't speak out about his birther son's idiocy, but had time to bash gays?

Can everyone stop pretending he's the honorable, decent kind of televangelist now?
----------------
"Watching the moral decline of our country causes me great concern," said Graham, 93, who lives near Asheville. "I believe the home and marriage is the foundation of our society and must be protected."

His complete statement about Amendment One will be part of full-page ads slated to appear in 14 North Carolina newspapers throughout the weekend.

Graham's statement was issued by the Charlotte-based Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which is led by Graham's son, the Rev. Franklin Graham. Franklin Graham recorded a message last month in support of Amendment One, which is on the ballot in the election Tuesday. "At 93, I never thought we would have to debate the definition of marriage," Billy Graham's statement said. "The Bible is clear — God's definition of marriage is between a man and a woman. I want to urge my fellow North Carolinians to vote for the marriage amendment" Tuesday.

Though some have suspected this out-of-character organizing on a hot button issue could be more Franklin's doing.

I never could understand why he is so revered. He's just another in a long line of self-serving TV preachers, none of whom I any use for, whatsoever.

releasing this statement. Doesn't he have advanced Parkinsons Disease? Dementia frequently accompanies the later stages.

My bet is that this is Franklin and his equally bigoted sister promoting this bullshit.

He claimed Jeb Magruder lied about Graham saying this.

Then the Nixon tape had him saying this, and he did the "I can't remember" excuse.

Not to mention he has never admonished his bigot son.

And what Stand would you expect him to take, that he's pro-gay? He is a minister. Most conservative clergy would be against same-sex marriage. I mean this is a no-brainer here folks.
