I think you can get phones with actual dials that will work. Maybe a yard sale?

...in case of an road emergency. I can call out...and people can call in. PERIOD. I am older and drive the freeways in the L. A. area.

BTW: Consumer Cellular is great -- for seniors. $10.00/month standard fee...calls are additional. The phone is sooooooo basic...it's just phone and that is all I want!

TV channels with the remote, looking for a show that appealed to him, I said, "When I was your age televisions had thing called knobs on them and people would have to get up, walk to the TV and turn a knob to change the channel or adjust the volume."

He looked at me with a puzzled look and said, "No they didn't!!"

LOL

He just couldn't believe that tale.
