The political divide, as I see on DU.

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Agschmid (a host of the General Discussion forum).

Simple breakdown as I see it social/economic issues.

Bigoted Reaganomicist (Repuke) - Non-Bigoted Reaganomicist (Third way) - Non-Bigoted Non-Reaganomicist (Democratic party)

Where does third way belong? Imo, in the repuke party.

Which party does the third way belong in your opinion?

1. It is somewhat sad that some consider anyone who does not support sanders to not be Democrats

Sanders is polling less than 20% on the last polls that I saw but evidently anyone who does not support Sanders are not really democrats. That view is sad.

Many of the HRC supporters like Sanders but we are worried about his viablity in a general election contest. That does not not make such supporters third way or non-democrats.

People support Bernie because he espouses traditional Democratic economic and social policies.

People do not support Hillary because she espouses traditional Republican economic policies.

3. I tend to look at third way as the non Cruz, Gohmert, Paul, Bachmann, etc. etc. politicians.

Republicans are not allowed to be in conflict with the crazier Christian Fundamentalist, climate change deniers, neo con war mongers, uneducated tea party types, and the wealthy criminal class etc.. That really hamstrings you when you call yourself Republican relating to reality dealing with all of the crazies who come out to vote in primaries. What is left are niche opportunities for non Republicans hence third way types. Many call themselves Democrats and some of the duller variety still calls themselves Republicans.

In the long run George Washington was correct about Political Parties and they will be our downfall.
