An officer has been involved in a gruesome shooting of a small cat because he claimed the cat could be “rabid.”...

Clark, the cat, had been an outdoor cat for three years in the neighborhood and was taken care of and fed by one of the residents....

If that's what a rabid cat looks like, then every cat I've ever seen is rabid. Orrex May 2015 #1

It's a good thing that stupid cop was such a bad shot, Clark is expected to recover once the bones in his forelegs heal.

The whole thing started when Clark scratched a kid. Not bit, scratched. Like no cat has ever done that to a kid who has provoked it.

I hope one of the people who were looking after him takes him in permanently, keeping him away from kids with helicopter parents and stupid cops.

The vet has confirmed that he is showing no signs of rabies.
