8. That is a real possibility. I think he was persuaded, initially, he got on the treadmill,

he is skipping the potatoes and cerveza, and chewing on those salads, he has a new wardrobe....and he's HATING the process.

He's probably getting a full, unfiltered sense of just how much his big brother was disliked. He's probably looking at his wife, who would rather be in Mexico (and she usually is), and looking at his kids, every single one with a criminal record, and saying, "Why would I put them through this?" He's looking up that hill, at that climb to the White House, and he'd probably rather put on his fat pants and eat a massive bowl of ice cream in front of the TV. I just don't think he has the "power craving" and for that reason, he's sabotaging himself with dumbass comments.

Of course, the alternative theory is that he's doing the usual--running right in the primary, and he'll tack left in the general. That said, nowadays, with instant communications and so many options down to smart phones and those swell watches he was touting (!!!!) that would replace Obamacare (!!!), people are better able to recall the bullshit he said in the primary days, and bring it back to haunt him in the general run!
