Silicon Valley paid HRC to tell them...

... what they SORELY needed to hear, re: women in tech.

“Inequality of the kind we are experiencing is bad for individuals, bad for society, bad for democracy,” she said, according to The New York Times. If Americans don't believe hard work leads to prosperity, they're going to put less faith into their country."

Among other things they needed to hear. Just goes to show, just because she is being paid doesn't mean she will pull punches.

Silicon Valley is filled with empty feel-good slogans, so at least she spoke in their language

For example; in the link you posted there is another link to a NYTimes article dated April of 2014

excerpt:

Clinton said that tech companies have often made life more efficient, but the rise of those companies has coincided with an increased gap between middle class and upper class Americans.

Better productivity, in this case, hasn't necessarily led to better salaries.

“I believe it’s still true that a lot of families in America today are hurting from the great recession, and communities are coming apart at the seams, and the American dream of opportunity and equality feels out of reach,” Clinton said, according to The Wall Street Journal.

At a separate tech conference in San Francisco a few months earlier, Clinton emphasized the ways income inequality erodes democracy.

“Inequality of the kind we are experiencing is bad for individuals, bad for society, bad for democracy,” she said, according to The New York Times. If Americans don't believe hard work leads to prosperity, they're going to put less faith into their country.

So not only in April of last year but at a conference a few months before that.

Even back in the 90's. And she is the one that pushed Bill on SCHIPs as well.

At least that's what she told a group of small business owners today.

If they were fishermen she would have told them she's building a boat.

And a lot of women support her because she has been a strong voice for women her whole political life.

It seems to be resonating with women too.

"Clinton's over 60% with liberals, moderates, women, whites, African Americans, and seniors and is at least over 50% with men, Hispanics, and young voters."

One was a convention of people in tech (not a company), and one was for ebay employees at a conference that focused on women in tech.
