This morning on Stephanie Miller's show one of her guest indicated that Shep

Smith of Faux News is a member of the LGBT community. Stephanie cautioned her guest that Shep had not announced that. There is no shame in being who you are and standing tall for rights for all people. There is no need for Shep to hide and if Faux News does not like it they can take a hike. There are many stations that would benefit from his skills as a journalist.

To my knowledge Shep Smith has never been anti-GLBT in any way & thus does not deserve to be outed.. hlthe2b May 2012 #1

if it is not his choice to do so, IMHO. Of course nearly all of us would think he should get far far away from Faux news where his sexual orientation would not be so much an issue--assuming it is an issue, but that is his choice. Apparently, that is not an easy decision anywhere in media, if Anderson Cooper has felt the need to remain closeted or at least extremely quiet as has been alleged.

In reality, Smith's tacit support for Obama's recent "evolution" and other pro-LGBT stances probably do more good having him at Faux where there might be a rare opportunity to change a mind.

absolutely no reason to try and out him. It's his business, and he is in no way anti-GLBT, but is clearly pro-GLBT, and that's all we can ask for.

I guess I'm mistaken. I thought he came out years ago.

Well, if he didn't, then this is good to know. Not our place to speculate.

DeGeneres as a spokesperson, will they do the same to Faux News for hiring Shep?
