RMoney goes on TV to apologize for assaulting gay student

...but claims he "can't remember it"

http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2012/05/romney-apologizes-for-being-a-bully.html

Then why in the hell apologize then?!

This story has legs, if you've ever been picked on for being different at one time or the other during life...I mean picked on not just lightly hazed....this story will get your hair up.

Your take?

TIA

What lowlife does this to a BLIND PERSON and then laughs about it?

From the WP article:
"One venerable English teacher, Carl G. Wonnberger, nicknamed “the Bat” for his diminished eyesight, was known to walk into the trophy case and apologize, step into wastepaper baskets and stare blindly as students slipped out the back of the room to smoke by the open windows. ...

As an underclassman, Romney accompanied Wonnberger and Pierce Getsinger, another student, from the second floor of the main academic building to the library to retrieve a book the two boys needed. According to Getsinger, Romney opened a first set of doors for Wonnberger, but then at the next set, with other students around, he swept his hand forward, bidding the teacher into a closed door. Wonnberger walked right into it and Getsinger said Romney giggled hysterically as the teacher shrugged it off as another of life’s indignities."

The incident was recalled similarly by five students, who gave their accounts independently of one another. Four of them — Friedemann, now a dentist; Phillip Maxwell, a lawyer; Thomas Buford, a retired prosecutor; and David Seed, a retired principal — spoke on the record. Another former student who witnessed the incident asked not to be named. The men have differing political affiliations, although they mostly lean Democratic. Buford volunteered for Barack Obama’s campaign in 2008. Seed, a registered independent, has served as a Republican county chairman in Michigan. All of them said that politics in no way colored their recollections.

Romney has a hastily-arranged interview to sort of apologize for engaging in bullying that he really doesn't remember but is positive it probably didn't have anything to do with maybe thinking the guy was gay.

"Governorr Romney has no memory of participating in these incidents,"

He remembers marching with his dad as a young boy, but can't remember this. Someone who had hair like that, you remember from THOSE days. He remembers the Davy Crockett song, but doesn't remember this. I bet Rmoney raised a few monsters himself. Out of 5 boys who are "entitled" I'm sure one of them is a bully.

His claim that he doesn't remember makes it WORSE. What kind of person gangs up with friends to attack another person, forcibly cuts his hair, and doesn't remember? Was cruelty like that a matter of routine to him? How else could it have had that little of an effect on him?

Typical Republican apology, implying that perhaps it's the victims who are overly sensitive. Above all, never admit the behavior itself is wrong.

He laughed when he made this "apology".
He laughed when queried about strapping poor Seamus the dog to the roof. He laughs about the humorous story of his Dad closing an auto plant. He laughs about liking to fire people.
That creepy laugh of his...heh..heh..heh.
Fucker.
