O'Reilly's severe personal problems have long needed 100% of his attention

Repeating: He is personally and intellectually stunted, repressed and oppressing, deep in denial, provincial and colonialist in his obliviousness to other cultures and races, and deluded to think his escapism via opinions on anything besides his personal issues matter.

What brought this on was my flipping by just enough to catch him popping his veins yelling that climate change is "still open to debate," followed by whatever and whatever critiquing others. He needs an intervention, needs some kind of touchy feely retreat, some mental "trips" of some kind.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
