Mama June Shannon Threatens To Sue TLC If They Don't Cancel '19 Kids And Counting'The Huffington Post | By Stephanie Marcus

Former "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star "Mama June" Shannon is steaming mad that TLC has yet to cancel "19 Kids and Counting" after tabloid reports of Josh Duggar's child molestation scandal proved to be true.
Shannon told TMZ that she is prepared to sue the network that aired and canceled her own reality show if the network doesn't act quickly. TLC canceled "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" in October 2014 after it was reported that Shannon was dating convicted child molester Mark McDaniel, whom, it later came out, molested her own daughter, Anna Cardwell, when she was 8 years old.

If the rest of the world doesn't understand yet that Amerika is batshit crazy, this latest horror should convince them I'm bet.

(5,841 posts)I never cared for any of this crap and TLC has become the Freakshow Channel, but she's got a point. If they don't cancel the hyperbreeder show, they're fucking hypocrites.

(5,841 posts)I don't understand your point.
For consistency's sake, if they cancelled one show because of molestation issues, they need to cancel this one too.

(845 posts)I said she doesn't. I don't care at all what they do but they have no obligation to cancel any show for 'consistency'.
She wants to sue them for taking away her 15th minute of fame.

(5,841 posts)Just opinion. Her threatened lawsuit would probably be based on unfair treatment. It would be a possible civil case, and does not constitute criminality.

(845 posts)I just said that i think it's pretty silly to take someone to court and demand they do one thing or another due to what's basically 'no fair'.
To be honest, I'm ashamed I know who either of these groups of people are.

(11,138 posts)They are the ones who put this lowest common denominator tripe on in the first place. Broadcasting train wrecks for ratings and then cancelling them when the inevitable happens is just stupid. "Learning" channel my ass.
