Four Home-Schooled Brothers Plead Guilty In Rape, Assault Of Sister

This is all so complicated, because the boys who perpetrated this are also the victims of child abuse from their crazy parents. Who could have predicted that keeping adolescents away from the rest of the world could result in such behavior? Why, pretty much anyone who's studied cults. And a 25-year-old who can't write his own name? Nice job with the home-schooling, there, folks.

Four homeschooled brothers pleaded guilty Thursday to molesting their younger sister from the time she was 4 years old until she was almost 15 – and their parents and two other brothers still face charges related to the case.

The oldest brother confessed in December 2012 to molesting the girl after becoming a born-again Christian, and a pastor from the Baptist church in Wake Forest, North Carolina, contacted authorities the following day.

“He confided in his pastor and his pastor told him that was wrong and not the way normal families are,” said Perquimans County Sheriff Eric Tilley.

Eric Jackson, then 25, told authorities that he and all five of his brothers had sexually abused their younger sister for a decade, and authorities say their parents knew but did nothing to stop the abuse.

3. It's always about power...and it's the most despicable form of power. It's very much alive in our

own underworld...political, religious, people in power. Years ago a book was written by a Nebraska Senator called The Franklin Cover Up.

I don't recommend it because it's very hard reading...and it indicts a secret, hidden society that only a few know exist and even fewer want to know. And even more telling, as far as I know, there was not one instance of any of the subjects suing him for liable...because it was well documented.

4. I suspect that they did not homeschool to keep the children away from the rest of the world. It was

to keep the kids from talking to the rest of the world. And in this case at least - the parents did not do anything about it because they were abusers themselves. Not at all surprising to anyone who has investigated child abuse.

As to why the Duggars did not report their son's abuse of his sisters - money. They have a lucrative tv show portraying them as a great family role model.

A fantastic group I follow, which is full of stories like this from former home-schooled Christians who have gotten out. Sexual abuse is only one of the rampant abuses in those homes.

The social isolation that is part of this movement creates the perfect setting for abuse to occur and for it to remain unreported. I also believe that the natural sexual curiosity that teens explore with each other is deeply twisted through teachings and lifestyle into the potential for sexual abuse, especially of family members.
