Been on the air for 10 years and the awful incidents on the victims behalf occurred twelve years ago. Mind you the Duggars waited atleast two years before reporting it to the police and the show has been on since 2008.

Sadly, many straight folks would rather pretend that sort of thing does not exist. They have the luxury to do so. Obviously.

They're very active in funding and pushing anti woman and anti LGBT rights causes.

Knowing who his is doesn't always mean one is a reality TV fan. It can also mean one knows their enemy.

and that the mother of the brood apparently treated her reproductive tract like a clown car. I had never watched their program on the so-called 'learning channel' and was vaguely aware of their involvement with the quiverfull movement, but I couldn't have picked out a single one of them in a line-up. I am also aware of the so-called 'Family Research Council' - obviously not, however, to the extent that I knew of James Dobson's selection of this real-live 'celebrity' to serve in a position of leadership within his hate group. As I read elsewhere on DU today, this debacle is the marriage of irony and karma. Guess the holy spirit hadn't bestowed the gift of discernment upon dickweed Dobson.

Member of the creepy reality TV family and moved to the DC area to work with the Family Research Council. I also remember Googling Tom Cotton (A-AR) after he said something incredibly idiotic, and seeing pics of Josh's shining mug on the campaign trail with him.

It was so friggin awful I watched about five minutes of it, ran into the other room and searched for the duggars on the google machine.

I learned they were right up there with the Kardashians and the Palins on the list of people I'd rather not know they existed. Since then I'd pretty much forgotten about them until I saw the current stuff and I have to say I was not surprised in the slightest that one of those mutants was actually a perv.

In fact my guess is theres a lot more creepy shit going on inside that clan. I hope enough light gets shined on it that all the cucarachas shrivel up and disappear.
