I'm glad the president finally pulled the trigger on this, but if Republicans are truly regretful, they have only themselves to blame. That doesn't mean, of course, that they will blame themselves for their own tardiness. After all, the Party of Personal Responsibility is most skilled at avoiding any responsibility for their own actions.

believe they ever would have because of their religious fundamentalism. It will be very interesting, very interesting to see if they dig in against this now. they are going to be spending some time on the defensive, until they find their feet on this, but i think finding their feet, and agreeing with each other about how those feet should dance, well, this could be great fun.
