Reading the comments of people defending the Duggars it's like Deja Vu...

Mind you I was born in South Central Pennsylvania and about an hour from Penn State University. I still read the Harrisburg Patriot News a few times a month to catch up on the local news.

And the comments these people make defending the Duggars and how they protected their son Josh, who we now found molested about 4-5 underage girls including several of his sisters. It's like reading the same exact comments that were made when people were defending Joe Paterno and PSU after they covered up what Jerry Sandusky was doing after one of the coaches found Sandusky diddling an underage boy in the PSU locker room showers. Because there are people out there that see the Duggars or Joe Paterno as 'Heros' they think we should give the a free pass for these coverups.

It's just pathetic how far people will go to make excuses for these people who yes, they did not commit any crimes, but they covered up some pretty heinous ones.

And let's face it, because Paterno and the Duggars are well know supporters of the Right-wing, no one wants to see them falter. Yet if these were people on the left side of the political spectrum you know they would be ripped a new one by the conservatives and Fundie Christians. But the difference - we progressives would not protect them either.

It's horrific, and they'll drag everyone from Lindsay Lohan (because she's a liberal bastion who's molested children) to Hillary Clinton and Benghazi into it. It's freaking insane and not one makes a comment about the girls.

They have a different scoring system, which is why we have a stratified country. Rules are not applied equally precisely because their merit system gives credit points to their own.

11. I don't believe the poster was referring to DU. They were referring to people in our society

who love the Duggars for what they represent and have spoken out on their behalf.

Some are people like Mike Huckabee, a presidential candidate. Others are just random people on the internet. But a lot of right wing conservatives are saying that Jesus forgave Josh Duggar and that he is being unfairly pummeled.
