(15,805 posts)I was scrolling through the morning TV schedule on Dish Network, and its everywhere. What's odd is that it's showing on channels like SyFy that have nothing to do with sports.

(42,307 posts)Thus the many channels. It's the last day of the regular season and they always do it this way. I don't know how long US networks have aired all the games, though.

(94,517 posts)...(or for that matter, most European Leagues), is that if you have a lousy year, you get dumped into a minor league, and the best minor league team moves up.

(14,308 posts)I wish our leagues had that. It adds great drama to the end of the season and also gets rid of teams trying to lose to get better draft picks.

(101,311 posts)Chelsea was already guaranteed to win the Premier League; Man. City to come 2nd; Arsenal was almost certain to come 3rd and Man. Utd 4th (unless Arsenal lost really badly and Utd won really well); and that's the 4 teams for next season's European Champions' League. The bottom 2 teams were guaranteed to get relegated; there's just Hull and Newcastle to decide who's the 3rd, and the order for 5th to 7th for what might happen for Europa League places (and 7th won't know if they're in until the FA Cup final happens - next Saturday, I think - if Arsenal win that, 7th is in; if Aston Villa win, they get the Europe League place).
So there hasn't been that much tension about what will happen.
