State trooper who let Duggar off with a "stern talk" now serving 60 year sentence for child porn

In 2003, following Josh’s return home, Jim Bob Duggar and several church elders took Josh to Arkansas State Trooper Joseph T. Hutchens. Instead of taking procedural action against Josh, Hutchens gave Josh a “very stern talk” on the matter.

Hutchens would never follow up with the Duggars on the matter.

Hutchens’ name would surface again in 2007, when he was convicted on child pornography charges. Hutchens was paroled in 2010, but almost immediately was arrested again and charged with four counts of distribution, possession, or viewing of sexually explicit material involving a child.

He is currently serving a 60 year sentence and is not eligible for parole until 2020.

1. Wow, these young girls did not have a chance to have any protection, the police who is serving

time for exploitation of young girls and the Duggars involved him in having a stern talk with a young man who abused more than one time. The counselors they used has issues, it is the circle stays within itself and it appears sexual abuse is okay. I question this group the same as I do groups as FLDS in which Warren Jeffs is serving time for rape of young girls. This needs to be looked into and valid investigations before generations continue to abuse females.

because they knew he WOULDN'T arrest Josh. Otherwise, why go to a state trooper as opposed to the local police?

And of couse....they knew him before hand. They might not have known that he was a sex criminal. But I do think they had a sense that he was someone who would "understand" and just give Josh a stern talking to.

Their goal was to avoid Josh being arrested, to protect him, but now they are trying to act like they turned Josh in to the authorities and then situation played out the way the situation played out.
