We miss a very valid talking point when it comes to education

I consistently here how much we spend per child on education and how the money is poorly spent .... Blah blah .... You know the rest.

Why do we never counter with how much we spend on defense per soldier. We have the strongest military in the world, and no one can argue, or will argue, that it's based on how much money we spend on defense.

It's been calculated that it costs $35,000 to send one soldier through 8 weeks of basic training, and not including AIT and there is no doubt that money is well spent when it comes to turning out the most highly trained soldiers in the world.

We don't even spend half that much per pupil for 9 months of education in most schools.

And states are mostly responsible for k-12 education. Whereas the federal government covers the military person going through boot camp. But still good thought.

That the amount of money has no baring on education. If it has no baring, then the same can be said about the military.

2. Last time I checked into it - we spend under

Eight thousand per pupil in public grammar schools across the nation.

Of course, I imagine much of the exorbitant cost of training a soldier in the 8 weeks of basic training has to do with the inflationary and corrupt practices of the links between defense contractors and the DoD.

But don't worry about any of this - very soon, Chartered School R Us will be in effect across the nation.

It will happen very soon as the vultures in both Big Money Parties want this to happen. Yes, once Chartered Schools are Us is in place, then the school buildings that are now owned outright by the local school district will be put on the open market, and then within a year, Chartered Schools R Us, will be renting out the same facilities that they had just sold - for a
mere $ 500,000 per grammar school building.

And then we all can say we spend $ 15,000 per student, not that the quality of the education or the actual materials used in teaching the children has improved. Only the corruption end of things will have been affected.
