this one seems a little weak but maybe I'm being too hard on it. I, like Krugman and several others do not view the Iraq war as an "intelligence mistake" but rather an intentional deception aimed at controlling a strategic interest in the ME.

I don't know anyone at DU who believes that the Invasion of Iraq was an "intelligence mistake".
In fact, we here KNEW before the mass murder started in Iraq.
