Our soldiers were heroes who went to war in behalf of US. They were also victims of the vicious lies told to start those wars.
It is heart wrenching to see the end results of the Iraq war and how the Middle East became so unstable.

Instead of freedom and democracy we have chaos and anarchy. Now the GOP, Bush, Cheney and their allies are spreading more lies justifying their actions. They are also trying to rewrite history. And now Obama is being blamed for leaving too soon.

When I saw the fall of Saigon it was hard to stomach having been to Vietnam with the 1st Cav and seeing all the troops we lost.

1. War of Lies - documentary

I saw War of Lies at the Seattle International Film Festival two days ago. It is an interview with "Curveball" the one individual upon who's lies the Bush administration relied to illegally invade and bomb Iraq. If you can find this movie somewhere SEE IT!!! Curveball (real name Rafid Ahmed Alwan al Janbi) was tracked down and interviewed by the filmmaker. In some ways, it's information that we (particularly astute Du'ers) knew all along. But what I never fully understood before was that it was German intelligence who interrogated Curveball and then relayed the (mis)information to the US.
