A St. Petersburg man faces charges after beating a woman because he didn't like how she cooked eggs, according to The Smoking Gun.
Cory Lee Shinkman, 23, allegedly followed the woman out the back door, pushed her against a dresser and scratched her.
When questioned, he initially said he was hit first, but witnesses disagreed.
Shinkman was released from the Pinellas County jail after posting $1,500 bond. The Smoking Gun reports that he has been charged with battery before.

(115,677 posts)Been there, done that. My final crime was driving myself to a party we were both going to go to when he didn't pick me up. Stupid me, how could I embarrass him by doing that.

(135,425 posts)I don't think he'd be griping about how someone cooked the damn eggs if he watched SIX FEET UNDER on a regular basis.
If someone is kind enough to cook me a meal, I say "Thank you very much."
This is worth watching, if you don't know what I mean:

(34,648 posts)I'm very particular and will only eat eggs cooked by myself or somebody who I know cooks them right. I hate wet eggs.

(2,760 posts)Give me a runny egg any day, but I wouldn't beat someone over it. I would simply say thank you and choke them down. Another example of what's wrong in the world.

(29,257 posts)But high heat destroys the delicate proteins in eggs. I cook my scrambled eggs VERY slowly now. They are incredibly good.

(34,648 posts)I think I might have to try it like that in the morning. And the tomatoes too. But I have no idea what creme fresh (sp?) is. I'll look it up.

(29,257 posts)And it still cools down the eggs so they don't overcook.
Even if you cook them until they are "tight" (not wet), they will STILL be better than any eggs you cook at too high a heat.
The key is off an on, off and on and also to not season until the end.

(34,648 posts)I like that off on off on method. And stirring them in the pan. I feel like I have been doing it backwards for years. I think I might like them tight instead of wet like he likes it. As long as it doesnt feel slimy I can handle it.

You can use sour cream, or make a good substitute by mixing enough heavy cream with sour cream to mask some of the ascidity of sour cream.
(Or, you can think long and hard about calories and cholesterol.)
