Though I don't have it. Anyway, they're awesome, but I almost broke a tooth on a pit.

Had my first gout attack Fall 2014, extremely painful.

Dr put me on Allopurinol as a preventative med.

Still have had several mild reoccurrences including now.

Cherry juice and Ibuprofen appear to knock down the symptoms well.

Yesterday got a ordered case of Knudson's cherry juice.

My Dad (1910-1996) had gout and swore by cherry juice.

They did the pollinating.

http://cherries.msu.edu/horticulture/pollination

... Cherries require bees to move pollen within and between flowers to achieve pollination. Cherry pollination is an all-or-nothing proposition – the more flowers that are pollinated, the more cherries that will develop on the tree.

Typically, honey bees visit flowers in the morning. Orchard management practices such as pesticide applications or mowing that disrupt their morning activity may significantly impact the success of pollination. Cherries that do not receive adequate pollination fail to develop. ........"

my mom is crazy about fresh cherries, but she won't get many of them because she thinks it's wasteful to spend so much money on fruit. They are very expensive here in the Deep South. I always get her some so she can splurge a little. She doesn't ask for anything, although she helps everybody, and she deserves at least a little treat now and then.

I have two cherry trees.

One is a bing and some other red cherry graph.

The other is a royal anne and the other red cherry graph (and has been dying and diminishing the last decade as I butcher out a stem rot, it is time for removal).

I used to get a great crop every other year or so and weather or pigeons and other birds would spoil the off years.

Several times the neighborhood black bear had a party also.

Thought this year would have a good and early crop. Lots of honey bees. Early spring.

The bandtail pigeons have stripped the tree in the last two weeks to almost nothing.

Have several rubber snakes to hang in the branches that had bragged of the effectiveness but seems a delusion.

Had years where had several hundred pounds off that tree and went on road trips to share my cherry wealth.
