Hey DU primary partisans: Grow the hell up

I'm not a Hillary supporter.

I'm not a Bernie supporter.

I'm not on any one's bandwagon right now.

But if you think your childish sniping, dog whistles and finger pointing bullshit is convincing any one of us on the fence, it's not.

And wipe that smirk off your face, I'm not talking about "the other side".

The next time you post something you think is in support of your candidate, really ask yourself...."Is this helping?"

Treating other Democrats like they are Republicans makes DU fucking suck. So cut it out.

I've been avoiding personal attacks.

However, the word "HillaryMojo" for a good-news Democratic aggregator site?

That gives me pause.

it's like being in grade school! "I know you are, but what am I? " sticks and stones"
What I can't stand is individuals using the alert system, to get back at someone for having an opinion other than their own!
I have no axe to grind, nor do I belong to any clique on DU, so you can be sure when I am asked to serve on the jury, that I will tell it like it is!

Hillary was the "One" for so long.

Now, on DU, she is like just 10% of what members want. What a fall!!

So that 10% is really pissed. You could even say cornered.

I say we go easy on that 10% minority. Of course if they start telling lies, correct them, but feel their pain.

If we are lucky and stay active and positive Bernie's numbers will keep going up! At that point some of the Hillary people will start considering Sanders. It will be good not to have alienated them by that point.

...that 10 percent on Democratic Underground is in agreement with the majority not on Democratic Underground. while 90% on Democratic Underground is in agreement with the minority not on Democratic Underground. But then, more than a few Sanders supporters have made it clear that they believe the majority of Democrats are either stupid, not informed, or basing their opinion on name recognition. That'll win them over.

I wish they would post more in their protected rooms and not so much in GD. DU is becoming practically unreadable lately.

It's wonderful to care passionately about a candidate but for those of us who aren't there yet, it is a lot to slog through on the Latest page or in GD. I don't really want to auto-trash the candidates' names or bother with hiding so many posts.

Thanks for bringing this up, PTBBIR. I don't think it's a huge deal or that it will make a difference, but at least it gives us "uncommitteds" a corner to vent a bit.

Bernie Sanders supporters are attacking Hillary because of her pretend populism, and many are liberals / progressives tired of being treated like shit by the Third Way. Hillary supporters are scared that Bernie might do a Eugene McCarthy. So thus we have a board war going on.

It seems to me the childish thing would be to join hands and sing kumbiya and avoid the important issues.
Are we so fragile we cannot take serious debate?...and we have to kiss their boo boos to make it better?

I am for Sanders but no one has said anything about him that caused me pain...if it is wrong I correct it but it don't hurt at all..

Myself, I think there are too many two year olds here who somehow mindlessly think tearing down one candidate raises another. IMHO, those who do it are fucking idiots who only want to disrupt.

* Bernie's hair??
* Hillary being a former Goldwater supporter?

Those are childish junior high debating tactics.

If one has to go negative, ones candidate apparently has nothing to offer.

I appalled at the two year old behavior here, especially so many months before anything matters.

It is disgusting.

34. waiting for O'Malley to weigh in
Fri May 29, 2015, 01:20 PM

As an Obama primary voter and donor in 2008, I was absolutely aghast at the dogwhistle racism of the Clintons back then. They both have a lot of apologizing and fencemending to do, to keep me from vomiting on the machine as I pull the lever for Hillary against god knows what horrible Republican in 2016.

The Sanders supporters here have made a much more favorable impression so far than the Clinton supporters, and I even adopted a Bernie avatar for a few days in appreciation. But until O'Malley makes himself known, that was premature.

Simply making it a three-way rather than a two-way race might go a long way to defuse the ongoing hatemongering here between centrists and progressives. OTOH, since prominent members of the O'Malley group are on my ignore list for being party loyalty harassing bullies for years, I'll simply have to leave DU for the next 18 months if he turns out to be the best choice IMHO. What a bummer all around.
