what feminism has NOT done!

Feminism has fought no wars. It has killed no opponents. It has set up no concentration camps, starved no enemies, practiced no cruelties. Its battles have been for education, for the vote, for better working conditions, for safety in the streets, for child care, for social welfare, for rape crisis centres, women's refuges, reforms in the law. If someone says, 'Oh, I'm not a feminist', I ask, 'Why? What's your problem?’

I was afraid that what I was trying to say by posting that would be misinterpreted as disagreeing with the OP, when in fact I deeply agree.

I just wanted to point out that not everyone who says they aren't feminist are like the woman at the end, and understanding why they might not identify might allow a better understanding of the issues they face and a way to address their needs.
