Santorum was on Morning Joe today and has rolled out a big proposal that really helps the little guy/gal tax wise:
A FLAT TAX!!!
Yep, the old wheezing and farting notion that a flat tax really, really, helps people at the lower levels of income.
It never fails to AMAZE me at how stupid these repukes think we are.

(63,889 posts)that gets me. He thinks that something that "sounds" simple and easy is inherently as unfair as it gets and the poor and near poor are screwed while the rich laugh all the way to the bank.
I'm waiting for Paul Krugman to dissect this fraud in an upcoming NYT column...

(63,889 posts)Usually it's rich guys like Steve Forbes who advance it. But it is galling when a guy claiming he's speaking on behalf of the little guy starts beating the drum for it. And he thinks we don't have memories of past workouts on this stupid idea...

(22,336 posts)has claimed it would be good for working people. It's just such bullshit. You only have to look at who recommends it to know that's not so, but when you do the sums it's even more clearly evident.
They appear to think we're stupid.

(63,889 posts)this shitty idea. It "sounds" fair, especially when there is no one right there to call bull shit on him right away. I'm not worried that someone will step up and point out the simple truth about how unfair the flat tax idea is. Once it is explained simply to people they will get it. Until then SHAME on Santorum for his utter disregard and disdain for poor people!!!
