Richard Lui made the remarks, filling in today on "Jansing & Co." His two guests aren'y buying it. Steve Kornacki from Salon was one of them.
The guests basically said when you take Romney's prep school shit, tying the dog to the roof, liking to fire people...when you look at the "big picture," there's a consistency. It's not like he was a bully in high school and got over it.
Looks like today is "Defend Mitt Romney Day" on MSNBC.
On edit: Richard Lui made the remarks, filling in today on "Jansing & Co."

(30,885 posts)You're absolutely right, it WAS offensive. But so far, that's the tone so far on MSNBC today...two shows in a row have stepped up to defend Romney.

(24,347 posts)Obama trying coke, Clinton smoking weed, and even (yes) Dubya's drinking didn't physically hurt anyone else.
Romney committing assault and battery, on the other hand?

(4,847 posts)wasn't little boots alcohol and cocaine use. I read he was a bully drunk. But, it's like comparing apples and oranges. Did any of them constantly publicly heckle someone, humiliate them and then get all physical on the victim?
What the corporate media has accomplished in the past thirty years, besides dumbing down the populace, has thrown logic out the window.

Just wait until this starts to get good.

(13,462 posts)Romney's got one. Of course they will just try to put it off as a mere series of isolated incidents of Willard accidentally being a complete jerk.

(30,885 posts)Lui leaned hard on the "isolated incidents" concept. His GUESTS said "No, this is a PATTERN."

(21,925 posts)Any rational person can see through the comparisons and understand that Romney's behavior is sick and hurtful to others. And for those incapable of rational thought, they have made up their minds even before the comparisons to Clinton and Obama. I want this story to be repeated ad infinitum until it becomes permanently tattooed to Romney's public image.
