BREAKING NEWS- Tip of the iceberg-second Hastert victim comes forward

Idicted former House Speaker Dennis Hastert was paying a former student from Yorkville, Ill., to conceal his alleged sexual abuse of the youth that took place while Hastert was a teacher and wrestling coach at a high school there, federal law enforcement officials said Friday.

A top official, who would not be identified speaking about the federal charges in Chicago, said investigators also spoke with a second person who raised similar allegations that corroborated what the student said.

But if it happened, it deserves to come out.

There were rumors about priests for years. There were rumors about coaches for years. Boys who were abused were told to laff it off and shut up about it. This is a tip of an iceberg.

There were rumors about my former Mayor for years as well (not boys, just inappropriate touching of women).

When the story broke in the morning my reaction was...it is serious, it should not have happened, but surprise... not in the least. It is like the front page story of DUH Magazine, and not because he is a Republican. If you cover any political body for long, you will start to hear the innuendo and rumors. The problem is cutting the chaff (lots of it) from the actual damn wheat.
