When the gay hoteliers Ian Reisner and Mati Weiderpass found themselves under siege for hosting a dinner for Ted Cruz, the Texas senator who is running for president and has been vociferously opposed to same-sex marriage, they repeatedly stressed that the event was not a fund-raiser.

“There were no checks given, it was nothing like that,” Mr. Reisner told New York magazine, after The New York Times first reported on the mid-April dinner at the Central Park South penthouse.

9. They are uber wealthy and own most of the "real estate" on Fire Island,

a major gay getaway in the summer and they also own a gay hotel/bar in the city in Hell's Kitchen. There is a boycott called for their businesses but who knows how successful it will be, one of my cynical friends in NYC said he fears it won't keep many away because the gay community in NYC tends to live in a bubble and can be oblivious. THis issue is being heavily discussed amongst my facebook friends and people are pissed.

Anyway these two are assholes.
