KFC sues companies in China over eight-legged chicken rumours

KFC has filed a lawsuit against three companies in China which it alleges used social media accounts to spread false rumours about its food, including that its chickens have eight legs.
The case filed by the company – China’s biggest restaurant operator – comes as the government intensifies a campaign to stop the spreading of false information.
Internet marketers in China have been convicted of illegal business practices for trying to manipulate customers on behalf of clients by posting bogus allegations about competitors or deleting critical posts.
In an announcement posted on Monday on its Chinese website, KFC said one of the most prevalent fake stories was one claiming chickens used by the company are genetically modified and have six wings and eight legs...

All those rumors about 8-legged chickens with extra wings are nothing but cooks sewing extra legs and wings to let the bird feed more people. Those birds aren't genetically modified--they're HUMAN modified!
