Why Mitt's new twin grandchildren are a legitimate political issue

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney was recently seen assuring his supporters of his anti-abortion stance with the standard line: it’s a “biological fact” that the fertilized egg is alive and that life begins at the moment of conception.

Tagg Romney and his wife have three children who are the product of IVF

Quite frequently with IVF there are leftover fertilized eggs. What happens to them? They're either frozen or destroyed.

Quite often the first attempt to implant a fertilized egg doesn't work. Isn't that causing an abortion according to Mitt's stance on the issue?

It's just more hypocrisy. If you believe that life begins at conception, what right do you have to screw around with the lives of dozens of innocent lives?

At least, that's how I understand the process. I'm willing to be corrected if needed

If we're going to have a law that's as holy and pure as life itself, we have to figure out every last jot and tittle, and make sure none of those cryo-zygotic citizens are improperly murdered, and if so, who's going to stand trial and go to jail for it?
