Sabine Hossenfelder - Women in Science. Again.

A bit old, but it just occured to me that DU might enjoy discussing this.

Sabine is a theoretical physicist who works mainly in the field of Quantum Gravity phenomenology. This is a unique field which, roughly speaking, concerns itself with the question as to how signatures of quantum gravitational effects might be detectable in experiment, rather than strictly following one of the popular candidate theories such as String Theory or Loop Quantum Gravity. I think it is by now safe to say that she is among the leading people in her field.

Sabine regularly publishes articles on her blog on all sorts of topics, usually connected to science in some way.

It just didn’t seem to say anything we didn’t know already, so I wasn’t about to mention it. Alas, it seems to have triggered another wave of public commiseration about the alleged lack of women in the sciences, and it seems moreover I’m expected to have an opinion, so here you go. ...
