Getting passed around on Twitter and Facebook today is the heartwarming image of the new-and-improved birth announcement for Elizabeth Anne Bogert (b. 1995). Bogert told his parents that he was identifying as a man and his parents knocked it out of the park:
A retraction Bogert
In 1995 we announced the arrival of our sprogget, Elizabeth Anne, as a daughter. He informs us that we were mistaken. Oops! Our bad. We would now like to present, our wonderful son Kai Bogert.
Loving you is the easiest thing in the world. Tidy your room.
As Willy Wonka is quoted as having said:
So shines a good deed in a weary world.

If someone is born with male sex organs and a female gender, then that is what they are. They are transgender.
