to get as many people to vote for Bernie as I can.
Go ahead: get me as riled as you can, I love the motivation.
Hey New Hampshire: how can I help?

(29,929 posts)58. Bernie has no chance
O'Malley will win in a landslide before Bernie wins. But that's a different story.

84. If Hillary and Biden somehow don't run, voters will likely support O'Malley
I think he's the frontrunner with Webb behind. Hillary and Biden voters aren't going to Bernie. But of course, if they fall through, Warren would be forced to run.

It didn't confuse me then but baffles me now on Warren especially.

(85,153 posts)How is that trash talking? Those are my honest beliefs. Bernie has no chance of winning the Democratic nomination. It's great that he's running for a lot of reasons, but he will not be the nominee.
We may see the first statement play out, but Hillary is running and we'll never know about the second one because Hillary chose to run.
And so far the numbers bear this out. He's not close anywhere. He's got high unfavorables with low name recognition.
Q4 Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Bernie Sanders?
Favorable 38%
Unfavorable 26%
Not sure 36%
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10026702535
What do you believe Bernie's chances of winning are?
JonLP24
(29,929 posts)Just remember it is all but I guess you weren't talking about primaries. Hillary Clinton has a 47% unfavorable to 46% favorable -- what are her chances in a general?
I give Bernie Sanders a better chance of winning the GE than a primary if that answers your question. Primarily because of voters thinking he has no chance in a GE.

I wanted to see Bernie's numbers rise before I make a decision, and hopefully during the summer....
I can tell you this - Bernie's having a ball, and I really love seeing that in a politician - really accessible to people.

I've seen shit said about his hair. I've seen them call his supporters "fringe left". I've seen threads about his age. I've seen threads accusing him of being racist.
I'm sure there is more to come.

(7,973 posts)I apparently missed the anti-Bernie posts; really, I did. Makes me wonder if they weren't designed to spark a nasty reaction and quickly polarize support so that the issue is settled early. Hmmmm.
Can't we all just get along like Bernie and Hillary do? I want boring policy-wonk debates, not freaking shouting and snark.
Funny thing: I agree with everything Bernie stands for; I seem to disagree with you often. Human brain is a funny thing. (insert snarky response here)
Nature and nurture, Manny. We're all judging, every moment, otherwise we're not alive. Like the man says in 'True Detective'.

(11,175 posts)It's the trash talking about candidates' supporters that I object to. No one on DU is running for President so none of us needs to be vetted quite so rigorously.
Some good people will disagree with me. I will try to remember that they are sincere.
I will also try to remember that I've been wrong before.

Well, that...and masturbatory Bernie OPs.
Don't get me wrong, I like Bernie, but as any other politician,
some of his advocates do him a great disservice.

(5,276 posts)My favorite, from someone who worked over time on this, was "we don't know what he's about" or words like that.
It was ridiculous, of all candidates Bernie is the most transparent by far. If you don't know his views you aren't paying attention.

(62,536 posts)...I can personally guarantee 10% of his vote. It's not that hard. Just don't have a life, easy.
Caucuses will be more difficult as I caucused for Edwards (I know), and while it was quite interesting if a bit fun I think I'd be swarmed. I don't know if I can prepare my psyche for that. I am extremely on edge with people shitting on me for stupid shit. It'll probably be OK though.
