When we wrote yesterday that many city bridges have fallen into disrepair, we forgot to mention their latest gift to city life.

Three city bridges recently became home to 12 newborn peregrine falcons.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which is responsible for the chicks’ nests as part of a state program, released a birth announcement this week.

The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, the Marine Parkway Bridge and the Throgs Neck Bridge are each now home to four little peregrine falcons born in early May.
