Picking up the pieces after the Laura Kipins fiasco

There needs to be a penalty for frivilous Title IX complaints, because that's what this was.

She was dragged through the mud for nothing more than exercising her academic freedom. Disagree with her ideas, by all means. Publish a rebuttal; challenge her to a debate; or even attack her credibility. That's called debate and free exchange of ideas, which is what higher education is supposed to be all about. Apparently these Stallinist students couldn't recognize that. I guess their constitutional right to not be offended was besmirched.

But to file an official complaint which could have ruined her career was beneath contempt.
