Is there an air show in San Francisco Bay today?

Only posting in GD because I know we have a lot of Bay Area posters here.

I was just coming down Fairmount Ave in El Cerrito (East Bay), which has a good view of the Bay and Marin headlands/Mt. Tam.

But I just saw what looked to be a cargo type plane turning very low over the water. It freaked me right out. I live about four blocks from the Bay, and now I hear a lot of helicopters in the distance. Was there a crash or is there an event? I can't find anything online about any events this weekend and figured posting here was worth a shot.

But I do see those large propeller-driven planes now and then. I have no idea where they are going, or from, but they fly low and loud enough that I always go to the window and look.

Is there an ASW base near SF? We used to have Orions flying out of my neighborhood air station every day until it was closed and re-purposed to be a drone base.

It had that sort of look. It definitely wasn't passenger through.

I've just never seen a plane like that flying low over the water like that outside of something like Fleet Week.

Touch and goes, which are practice takeoff and landings for training purposes. Takeoff and landings are always dangerous times.
