Kim Jung Un destroys thousands of homes to force people further away from border

It involves a new stretch of highway and razing 10,000 homes near the border with China, according to the Chosun Ilbo, a Korean English-language newspaper.

The highway will be 270 kilometers long force the residents further away from the border.

“The aim is to prevent people from fleeing the North,” the source said. Construction of the highway, which runs from Hyesan, Ryanggang Province to Musan, North Hamgyong Province, is nearly complete.

The regions along the Apnok and Duman rivers are usually flooded with people trying to flee, and the new project makes any attempts much more difficult.

The Chosun Ilbo reports Kim’s regime has offered those people who have been dislodged from their homes extra food rations.
