I could have just as easily taken it across the road to an old broke buddy. I used to have him over for dinner quite often until I noticed he was putting food in the pockets of his jacket. (joke)

of canned Green beans and took them to the Post Office so he would not have to haul them around all day.

About every other month I also buy canned veggies by the case and take them to our Hope in Action office.

he didn't want to bother. I literally had to run after him with my bags of food, this year I wasn't even left a card to inform me they were doing it. I'll do it on my own and take it to a food bank myself.

I fully intended to... dang.

(I *do* make a monthly donation to Food Bank of the Rockies, so I'm not gonna let myself get too guilt ridden.

Still... I *really* like our mail guy and wanted to contribute.

And, it's because of your post the other day, Steve! I didn't receive a notice from the post office this year, so thanks for reminding me.

I saw him get it.

I had nearly forgotten, but then I looked at the bag they'd given us. Luckily our mailman doesn't come way early.

So glad I can help!

I wasn't aware of it. In my defense, it's been a busy week with work and a family member passing away. I will try to donate to the local food bank soon.

Nobody is going to get on your case about the food donation.

I hope you're doing OK...

for our local food bank and he had pick-up duty today. He filled his Jeep 3 times!
Our little town was very generous. We are very grateful.
