And we call this governing...

One of our local right-wing talk show folks had a Republican congressman on this morning. I think it was some guy from Indiana. Don't ask why I was torturing myself listening...long story.

Two quotes stick in my mind:

Regarding his support for the upcoming expiration of our participation in the Export-Import Bank he said " I just finished reading the Book of Exodus last night and I didn't see any references to the ExIm Bank so it's hard for me to understand why we need it."

Regarding support for the TPP he said "Look, it's a big bill and I've only had a chance to skim a few pages but I think it's important for our country that we pass it".

WTF.

Why folks appear to be more worried about the crazies in Iran than the crazies in America is a strange thing that can only be created by mass propaganda.
