... I really think the guy tripped over something and rolled out of it. It's funny as fuck, don't get me wrong, but I don't think he was just channeling his inner Starsky ...

I wonder if embarrassment fueled his rage...not that he needed more rage, I think he has plenty already, along with delusions of danger everywhere.

ETA: it wasn't Starsky that came to mind for me, it was Kevin Kline's "Otto" in A Fish Called Wanda.

I think it was a factor. He was totally out of control. What really surprised me was that he didn't try to stop the guy taping it. Maybe he thought he'd look like a hero, busting the ghetto kids out of the gated neighborhood. ???

I hope he's fired.

I heard that he was called in and explained the charges that could come his way. He didn't have a choice.

Let's see what follows as far as charges. IMO he assaulted a half naked teenage girl that he outweigh by close to 100 pounds — totally "out of control". Even the police chief used that term when he announced that the cop was no longer on the force.

... it was clearly an advanced evasive maneuver, you see - us civilians wouldn't understand it. (but you're probably right - tripped and rolled to avoid being giggled at). Would be more funny, though, if it weren't also pretty damn scary.

amped up his rage, which he then directed at the kids who were witnesses to his embarrassment.

The Keystone Cops had to be inspired from something after all.

Some of the kids found it and gave it to him later. That's what they handed him in the video.

Hilarious toon!
