The real scandal with Dennis Hastert

We need some rules here.

First, former government officials, including members of Congress, shouldn’t be able to lobby or take jobs in industries over which they had some oversight, for at least three years after leaving office.

Second, anyone who runs for office should bear the burden of showing that whatever personal payments they received up to three years before were based on their economic worth, not anticipated political clout.

Finally, once they declare, even their spouses should desist from collecting big bucks that could look like anticipatory bribes.

The problem is that we don't have a representative form of government. I believe that most Americans want the corruption in Congress to end so why doesn't it? Because of the very corruption.

But I have a question about the timing of this Hastert expose. Why now? He has been a crook for decades and everyone knew it. Why now? and why him? Would he have been prosecuted if we had a Republicon president? I doubt it. Maybe the Democratic Admin is settling some scores. I am sure the NSA/CIA Black Security State knows everything about all our representatives.

Corruption must be pulled out from the root, otherwise all you get are more Aspens.
