Therefore, isn't the Affordable Healthcare Act (Obamacare) a form of Fascism?

I realize the "improvements" over what we are under now and do not want it eliminated except if we could have any of the following:
A single-payer insurance plan like Canada's, make it illegal for health care to be "for-profit", or moving the entire privatized health care sector into the public sector.

Alas I realize the capitalist system has corrupted health care in the USA with deep roots in our financial system but why beat around the bush? Why not call it what it is..."Fascism".

Is that too harsh?

1. For Profit Health Care

When I was a kid, most hospitals in the city were not for profit, owned by either churches, universities or were designed to give affordable health care to the areas two major industry (similar to the commissaries).
Today, to best of my knowledge most of those are closed or have been purchased by a for profit health care company.
For profit is not the answer. Look at what it has done to education.

The market place may work for TV's and computers not health care and education.

4. is it in the interest

of the insurers to give up their discrimination of those with pre-existing conditions? Is it in their interest to cover kids longer? Spend 80 cents per dollar on actual care, rather than CEO bonuses? Compete in exchanges where people will have choices instead of facing monopolies? If you answered "no" to these, well, there you have it.

7. Considering that large numbers of baby boomers

are leaving private insurance for Medicare, and that it's in the interest of private insurers to have the government force citizens to buy a shitty product with no price caps, I think your analysis is lacking.

Including premiums and deductible, I have to spend over $4,500 of after-tax income a year before my insurance company spends one dime. As such, I have insurance I can't afford to use.
