What you need to know about Ed Klein, author of a new book smearing Obama

http://thinkprogress.org/media/2012/05/12/483210/edward-klein-obama-book/

Although you wouldn’t know it from reading the New York Post, the Drudge Report or other popular right-wing outlets, Klein is a discredited author with a history of presenting falsehoods as fact. Here’s what you need to know about Edward Klein:

1. Klein’s last book, which was self-published, suggests Obama was born on foreign soil and is a practicing Mulism. In his 2010 work The Obama Identity: A Novel (Or Is It?), Klein co-authored along with a former Republican congressman is a compendium of Obama conspiracy theories. He had to self-publish the book.

2. Klein promoted a shameful conspiracy theory that Bill Clinton raped Hillary. In his 2005 book, Klein promoted an anonymous, hateful allegation supposedly made by two people who “claim” to have spoken with Bill Clinton about the circumstances surrounding the birth of the Clintons’ daughter Chelsea.

3. Klein repeatedly questioned Hillary Clinton’s sexual orientation. He has similarly disparaged Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy and Katie Couric in previous works, leading the Washington Post to comment that Klein “has made a second career of leaving knuckle prints on famous women.”

When he came up with the insane idea that Chelsea was conceived through rape, even right wingers like Limbaugh refused to interview him and discredited him. He was too far out even for them.

So why should anyone believe the claptrap he wrote in his latest book?

The man is a disgrace.

word "falsehood" to replace "lie"? Its certainly easier to lie than falsehood.
falsehood isn't grammatically correct. as in He's a falsehood.

It's a shame that we're still living in a day when even a liberal site refers to rumors about someone being homosexual as being disparagement.

Basically saying they're liars. I don't think its intended to say being a lesbian is wrong, but its poorly written in that regard.

...I don't think concealing it should be seen as wrong, either. I don't think people who choose to remain "in the closet" for whatever reason should be disparaged as "liars" either. It's no one else's business. People should be free to reveal--or not--as much about their personal life as they want. I see no stigma to being gay, but I likewise see no stigma to not wanting to reveal it, either. It's a personal choice, and not for anyone else to judge.

Obama is not gay, and is not the "first gay president". Obama did not speak out for gay marriage because he himself is gay and fighting for his OWN interests, he did it because he was concerned with the rights of OTHERS. Those kind intentions are willfully concealed by these manipulations.

Its the same as Hillary. The motive of these narratives isn't to actually say she is a lesbian, but to say she has covert motivations for her actions: She's not out there doing things because a heterosexual woman has the ability and capacity for public service, but because she's secretly a lesbian and therefore isn't happy with her place in the kitchen, like other "healthy" heterosexual women.

The foundation of these narratives is deception about people's true intentions.

The righteous wrong will be buying the books, very gullible folks, they believe anything they are told to believe. I will have to remain a Democrat for all my life, can't get into believing their crap.
