Should President Obama be asked by Democrats to pardon Marissa Alexander?

He can legally pardon her, can he not?

Marissa Alexander is the woman who was convicted and sentenced to 20 years for firing a warning shot at her abusive ex-husband in Florida. She was denied a defense under the "Stand Your Ground" law.

If it is a state crime, there is noting the president can do.

We went through this in the matter with Troy Davis's execution.
