R Emmett Tyrrell kicked some serious ass on C-SPAN!

What a truly pathetic performance. This guy was barely coherent and his audience not much better. He blathered for about forty five minutes on the "death of liberalism," but all he had to offer by way of support was the 2010 election and the potential for the Supreme Court to overturn "Obamacare." Give him credit though. He supports Saint Ryan's plan to give vouchers to poor people, but only in extraordinary circumstances.

Problem here is the other side has much better than this. Norquist on Real Time kept talking about how wonderful things were during the Reagan "expansion," but even a guy as sharp and smart as David Cay Johnston is not nimble enough to point out the enormous differences between the circumstances then and those today. Back then, all it took was lower interest rates and ANY kind of stimulus and the economy would have boomed. Not so today.

political parties, or of either liberalism or conservatism. It is always bullshit. Of course, the pendulum swings, and each side will have the occasional setback as an individual or issue goes down the drain. But, the fight goes on.
